Inspiration for my final art composition.

I have been ignoring my blog a lot lately. I guess I've been spending my time doing a lot of other things lately.
I already hate being back at school.
I love the school but I'm not huge on most of the people in it right now. Meh... they'll grow up eventually. I hope.
Friends are going to the mall today, I can't because of homework, I ended up procrastinating anyways... ah a day in the life of a slacker :)
I am still waiting for the pictures of florida from my aunt. I hope they come soon.

Also, of course after I have started my art project I have found a better artist that I would have much rather replicated -_-
It's intensely creepy... but i love the style!

drawings with meaning

I have taken to drawing things that I actually have a personal connection to or that are going off of my opinions on things. And more freehand as well. Usually I take a picture of someone famous whom I admire and I draw them, but lately I have been doing more conceptual drawings from my head. It's fun and no one can tell you that you did the nose wrong or something because it comes from your head and not an actual image.
I drew a gay pride flag with the word "judge" in bold letters across the front. Not because I think you should judge people for being gay! No. Just because that's what people do when they hear, see or think of anything associated with the LGBT community.
I also drew a robot satirizing society and what people are always thinking about. I don't know. It makes sense in my mind.
I have to start coming up with ideas for what I am going to do my major project painting on for art class... I know I am doing it in the style of Degas though. I love his style! ug such greatness. Not that I will ever be able to pull it off. But I'll sure as hell try!

☂Computer background

Thanks to Janelle (or Ish) I now have a new computer background xD. She drew it for me while bored in career counseling hehe! I do not know how long I will keep it though because I really loved the elephant background I had... but I don't know... this monster carrot is pretty friggen awesome :P

☂Alexander McQueen

I just found out that McQueen hung himself... I am not entirely sure if this is 100% true or not but it makes it all the more sad! He was brilliant! His clothes, although mostly not worn by everyday people, were works of art! They were revolutionary. I will be honest, before he died I did not know much about him or his clothes. I had heard the name but that was pretty much it... but now I see that the world has lost yet another brilliant artist! I guess they are all too good for what our world can offer. Like Van Gogh.
I just wish that people could see the beauty in the world and the hope. There is nothing in this world that is worth ending your life over. It is all fixable.
Maybe he thought that he had completed his work... I do not know.

So I am reading A Brave New World. It is so strange! I mean it is crazy to think about if the world was actually like this! I would not enjoy it at all! I am not very far at all in it though. I have been starting my painting that I am doing for a friend instead... I really should get a move on though because it is due soon!
I can't wait until summer! FREEDOM! haha^^

The painting that I am doing is a surprise for kyra so I wont post a picture but it is going to be really cool! I really want to get good enough so that I can paint this:

In art we are doing huge compositions in pen and ink and watercolor paint. I am doing one based off of old singer machines. I am going to give it to nana:) I really hope that it turns out okay!

☂So many thoughts!

I am posting a lot today because I have so many thoughts that have nothing to do with each other that I wanna post about! (btw is "wanna" a word because it doesn't pick it up on my spell check:P)

I have been reading this blog a lot lately. It is Le Love. It has gorgeous posts and pictures! Check it out!
She posts a lot using pictures from the website ffffound. You have to look around a bit if you are looking for something specific. I love cute things and I would love to cover my blog with ffffound pictures but I will not take someone else's idea, that would contradict the point of the title of my blog!

☂This is it!

I went to see the michael jackson video that is out in theaters, and no matter what all the haters say it was freakin amazing! Better than I ever thought it could be. It wasn't one of those movies that made you sad the whole way through and kept throwing his death in your face to make you cry. It was all about the concert. What it was going to be like, and who was involved in it. All of the people involved were incredibly lucky. It would have been the experience of a lifetime to dance with MJ. Even just doing all of the rehearsals would have been the amazing.
I don't think that people actually realize what they have lost. The movie actually made me realize how much of a genius he was. And how sweet he was too! I mean he was an amazing person. I don't even know how to explain how amazing the show was going to be. They were literally working with scientists to create new technology for the concert! Thriller would have been 3D! There were so many amazing things that they were making for this concert. I can't list them. I just can't even explain it. You have to see it in order to understand.

I wish that i was born with the talent to be a photographer. I mean i have ideas. but they never seem to come across right. And I don't have the right equipment. I love photographs. I love taking them! I found this artist on flickr that is truly inspiring! She makes me jealous of her talent and also of her home. She lives in england and has the perfect setting for all of her pictures! Her name is Eleanor Hardwick and she is quite famous. She even has taken pictures that are on the Bat for Lashes website! I LOVE BAT FOR LASHES!
I know I am creative. I just never seem to have my camera when I have an inspiration.
Maybe I should start carrying it everywhere with me.

So I hear from a friend that it would be michael jackson's bday today! This is awesome since today is my little brother's birthday! That is soooo cool! Although it's not like my little brother would appreciate it since he is too young to know what mj even stands for... I guess I should say stood for.
