Cabin

I spent the weekend at my best friend's cabin and it was a ton of fun. I wish I could waste away my entire summer there. It is beautiful. And at night I swear you can see every single star possible to see. I did a lot of things I've never done before. Like tubing and cliff diving and skinny dipping :O It is really freeing haha!

the little things

In days that are seemingly average and simple there are those little things that make you think: 'oh yeah! That's why I'm loving life right now!' You can spend an entire day with someone and remember one specific moment as the best and smile because of it. Or you could be driving down the street blasting lil jon and singing/rappin' along!
Sometimes it's just a couple words strung into a sentence that you don't receive all too often.
Random things have been making my days :) 

going away

Yet again I have to leave the comfort of my house and pack up as much of my stuff as I need for three and a half weeks.
I am so excited to go to San Francisco and see all of the things that there are to see there and to go to Edmonton to see family, but another part of me doesn't want to leave the things I have going here for so long.
Everything will be here when I get back though.
And I will be updating once and a while on my blog since I am bringing my laptop for this trip. There will be many pictures taken. 

i drive alone

Having your licence is so freeing! I love being able to just take the car and go out with people and make last minute plans. I mean I don't have my own car so I have to use cyndi's or my mum's but it still works.

I can't believe we are off to san francisco on sunday :3 

12 hours

so many hours to spend with the same group of people. Usually I would get annoyed with people and leave early, but today I stayed until the very end. It was a lot of fun. We were outside nearly the entire day and it was so nice to be in the pool. I love days like today in summer. It makes me feel so much like a 'teenager'. I even drove myself to the party and home. Although I got in trouble for being 15 mins late... oops!
So far this summer has been the best one yet :)

And I almost died.... this is how out of shape I am right now.... I'm working on it though.
I also have lost a LOT of flexibility because I didn't stretch at all in El Salvador... oops!

go karting!

I went go karting for the first time in my entire life tonight. It was a fun time. I like going really fast :3 and going around corners and you don't think you'll make it without spinning out but then you do and you're like yessss
I will go back again with friends and stay longer. I only went with my mum and cyn tonight. After our baked expectations run :3 mmmmmmmm I missed my hummus and havartti sandwich.
I think my mum has realized that I am not exactly in the best of moods about being home. So I think she is trying to distract me from it.
We are now going on a trip to San Francisco for a week over august long weekend. Yet another thing to get me out of the house probably. I'm a little sad that it will cut into my summertime with my friends... but it's San Francisco so I think I'll live!
I feel like this summer is going to pass by soooo quickly because I have so many plans!
I am also going out to Edmonton for like a week to visit my nana and papa at the farm.
And my mum okay-ed me getting a tattoo this summer. NO BIG DEAL! It will be rings around my wrist in blue white blue for my el salvador trip :) I think it will be so great. And hurt like a bitch! I'd rather get that than a bunch of clothes anyways. I'm not really in the mood for buying a ton of things after the El Salvador trip. I have more than I need.

I had a good day :) and now I leave to el sally in like 5 hours.... AHHHHHHHH I AM SCARED!!!! and excited but mostly scared right now.

relay marathon

So I did the marathon relay with my friends this morning and jesus... i need to start running more! I got really bad stitches and couldn't run the whole thing :\ I just want to be able to run and feel free and have the fun aspect :P Not be dying because of pain in my side. I am actually going to train for next year, it was fun and I'm just assuming that I'm going to be doing it with them again.
It probably wasn't the smartest idea to stay up until 1 in the morning with everyone the night before.... :P oh well!

Weddings

My mum got married yesterday! The wedding was the most beautiful thing ever and I am so happy for my mum and her new wife :) I was my mum's maid of honour so I stood up with her and cried my little eyes out!
Weddings always make me so happy, but my mum's wedding made me like crazy super happy! It is so great to see her so happy.
I loved seeing all the people I love most all in the same room and all there for my mum. It was just great.

I'm sure I will spam my blog with pictures once I get some from people. This even I didn't take pictures of, shocking :P I just sat back and took it all in and enjoyed it. 

Summer

It is hard not to think that when you are done classes you are done with school, but no, there are exams to remember. But while I am forgetting them for a moment, I am so excited for this summer! So many exciting things to happen :) I am off to El Salvador on a mission trip in two weeks! And then Folk Fest is right after that. Along with the many other random activities that summer brings about. And Rock on the Range :)
I really hope that this summer is as fun and as social as last summer was, if not more!

hiking boots

I went shopping for hiking boots and clothes for going to el salvador today :DDDDDD I bought a pair of boots, btu they need to be majorly broken in before I go in June. I will be wearing them around the house all the time lol
I went to old navy and got some cheapy shorts and some cotton t shirts as well.
I am so excited! It's really not that far away.
Wow I have a shit load to do before then.......

They are playing on july 7th which is the exact day i get back from el sally... If my flight is too late in getting back I wont be able to go, but I will find out after spring break whether or not I will be able to make it. I will literally be hopping off the plane and heading to folk fest for the night xD I HOPE IT WORKS OUT. I will be mega pissed if not. I would have liked to go on a day where I could be there the whole day but TEGAN AND SARA!!!!!!!
I will be hella pissed if I cannot go! I have been waiting for them to come here FOREVER!

• strange but cool top from anthropologie and an old man sweater with ducks on it 
• 1 leather belt

It was a great weekend of shopping. The only thing that I regret not getting was a pair of pants from antropologie but it was our first stop of the trip and my mum convinced me we could find practically the same ones for cheaper. We didn't. Oh well
All in all it was fun and I got to actually get out of the house and not think about things :)

☂decorating!!

my room is starting to come together. Today me and mum are going to look at a dressing table that she thinks I might like. It's at an antique shop :D I LOVE antiques.
And I need a new desk, or table that will serve as one. The one I have is black and clunky. I am getting a dark wood one. :)
And my mum surprised me by finishing my living room while I was away. She painted it white and bought me a tv and a chair and a half thing with a big foot thing... I dont know what to call it. haha

Tomorrow is another pool party. Last one of the summer and first one that I have been to in like 3 weeks. ug it's been way too long since I have seen the group!!!

☂movies and hospitals

So far these two things have been the whole of my trip. My papa is now out of the hospital though, but they never did confirm what it was that was wrong with him. At least he is feeling better. Although he is still having quite the time walking.
Me and nana have been keeping ourselves busy by watching lots of movies. We watched old movies and action movies and horror. More horror than the rest.
I finally watched The Shining. Really great! I love Jack Nicholson though. I watched The Haunting in Connecticut too. Made me jump a few times, but it wasn't my favorite.
Now we are watching alien. Never seen it before. Lookin good so far :)

☂hello world, I was happy today.

Even though my papa is in the hospital and no one knows what is wrong with him, I have been kind of happy today, compared to other days at least. I think it's because I have gotten to be alone with nana. Is it totally horrible to wish your father and his family to leave as soon as possible, even though I wont see them again for like half a year. Yes it is, but it's not like he tries to get to know me either. So whatever.
Me and nana are going into town today to go and see that new julia roberts movie, eat pray love. I am excited. It looks cute. And it is based in a range of beautiful different countries. One of them being India. I would love to go to India someday. Although I suspect that in the movie they are only going to show the pretty and touristy parts, and not the parts of India that are really lived in. And they defiantly wont show the immense poverty.

☂The Farm

I am here. Finally. At my nana and papa's farm. I thought that once I got here I would feel instantly better, but I don't. I think it's because my nana is sick and my little sister is here, and of course I am sad and not being able to talk to my nana about it is killing me already. My sister leaves tomorrow night. So soon I can, not that I will be able to get up the guts to tell my nana that I am bi... oh I hope I do. I would feel close to her again. She feels so distant because she doesn't know what is happening in my life right now. It's all just crap.
uggg and why does she have to be so darn religious??? I mean what if she's not okay with the whole thing? I mean when I walked into the room with my pajamas on, complete with my "legalize gay" t-shirt, I could feel her eyes on me. And not in a good way. And the fact that she didn't even comment on it made it worse. I mean if she would have asked me if I got it at the gay pride parade (which she knew I was going to) then maybe it would have been different. But she didn't. She didn't say anything. Maybe on some level she knows. I mean I have always been very upfront with my views on homosexuality and marriage and stuff.
The church sucks.
