☂Summertime and the living is easy

So far this summer I have turned 16, hung out with friends a little, taken a million pictures, and to fill in all the empty spaces in between, of which there are a lot, I have been watching golden girls, the office, in the heat of the night (currently), fresh prince, and charmed. It is my daily routine it seems now haha. I am quite bored of it! But I am stuck inside because my mum is at work all the time and I have no way to get anywhere. I need like a live in friend haha! And a cuddle buddy while im wishin for things!

Tomorrow, on a brighter note, is folk festival :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I am going to see The Swell Season and I have been waiting for tomorrow for like a year! They are so amazing :3
I got gold earrings and of course my amazing camera for my birthday:3 It was a boring birthday. They usually are.

I am reading Out of Africa. It is great so far! apparently it gets really depressing though. I am prepared haha! I like reading when I want to and what I want to in the summers. It so much better than school reading!

☂Cheery me

Today I was feeling way better about everything. Arg I don't know why I have felt so _emo about my life for the past couple of days! Nothing serious, just feeling a little down on myself. Today we watched the last half of Psycho in english class <3 Best movie ever made. The original of course!

It is amazing how such a crazy creepy movie can put me in the best of spirits!

I also felt a little better with the comfort of my great grandma's pearls around my neck. I wish I could wear them everyday to have a little bit of her with me all the time but they are too valuable to be wearing just anywhere. I wouldn't want to break the string.

I also have starbucks! Yes I am that kind of person who will pay 5$ just to drink something that probably could be made at home for far less. It is just so much better somehow when it comes from starbucks. It just cannot be explained to those of you who are non-believers.

I also bought four of these bracelets that were being sold at my school for the benefit of Haiti. All profits go to Haiti. The girl who makes them does it for a whole bunch of different fundraisers in our school and even outside of school. It's pretty cool. And they are pretty :3

Sunday I am going tobogganing with some friends for a bday party^^ Should be a blast! I haven't been tobogganing in near forever!

I have to be finished Brave New World by Tuesday for the test that we are having in class on the book that we chose to read out of the three. Next I have to read A Separate Piece by John Knowles. It looks like it will be interesting. Apparently when you are reading it, it totally sounds like the two main characters are in love. But they aren't! And they are both men. Which is totally cool if it was a love story between them... but I can't see it being a school read in a catholic school. So yeah! haha

This post should have probably been multiple since my mind is all over the place today. But this is me.
Deal with my messed up mind ^^

Well off to read now! I am only two thirds done the book! But it will get done... american history reading on the other hand... that is a completely different story!

I finally finished Rebecca and all I can say is OH MY GOD! I loved it but OH MY GOD!
emma finish it soon so we can squeel together!

Now I have to start reading Devil in the White City. It should be ok... nothing compared to Rebecca though:P But then again I was like destine to read Rebecca:P I want to see the movie that Alfred Hitchcock made!

☂Afternoon at the movies

Today Ish, Kyra, and I went to see The Time Traveler's Wife. It was really good! Sad though! I cried. I would read the book but I have NO TIME! And even after I finish all the books I have to read for school, I have to read Anna Karenina! I have wanted to since I bought it but I haven't been able to! It is really a summer book anyways since it is so long! I am almost done Rebecca! SO CLOSE! It is getting really good! I love the twist! I love twists! After I am done I have to read Devil in the White City for american history. We have to choose a book on american history and that's the one I chose because I hate books that aren't like a novel. This one is a true story but it's written like a fictional story. So it shouldn't be all that painful to read. There are so many books that I have to read for school this year and NOT ENOUGH TIME!
Tomorrow jeremy is coming over for dinner:) Should be a ton of fun!

I stayed home sick today, and I did a little school work and then read Rebecca for the rest of the day. I really like it. It makes me so mad though! Mrs. Danvers is such a bitch! I wish I could go on and on about it but I don't want to give away anything to those who have not read it.... to you people - GO READ IT!
I think that Mrs. Lucy is really quite nice though and so is Mrs. de Winter's maid. It made me so sad with what happened before their big ball:( I mean it was all Mrs. Danver's fault! And she did it on purpose! I was so happy for Mrs. de Winter before the certain event! I thought it was finally going to be her night:(

well I guess I will have to keep reading to see what is going to happen next!

☂Flat

I have started reading this manga, among others, and I really like it! It's called Flat. It is sooooooo cute! It makes your heart all warm and fuzzy! It's about this guy that's not very good with people and is called mean all the time making really good friends with his little cousin. The little cousin is soooo adorable!!! It's the cutest thing ever! I started reading it at jenny's of course:P and I downloaded the rest of it today and will be reading it momentarily! I am glad that I am getting back into reading anime! I really like it but I just haven't looked too hard since tsubasa. I never did finish it but it wasn't really my style.

I am having a music swing as it were. Since I have been back I have already had a sleepover... did many chores haha... and went to our yearly yard sale (we dont have it at our house) to help out. I got a serious tan from it! YESSSSSSSSSS haha. I dont tan well so when i do it's a big deal:P Although as S says "It rubs off on the sheets" Kind of true with me... one minute I am tan and then the next I am not... unfortunately:p 

I am excited for school to start( I know I am weird) but I get to see all of my friends more often... i miss them:( ISH!! you aren't even in town right now! ARG! 

At the previously stated sleepover we watched Prince Caspian... only jenny's favorite movie haha! It was pretty awesome gotta admit.. although there was no james mcavoy:( The next one should be good. I also tried lots of korean food. It was awesome. Some of it I wasn't big on but some of it was so good! Jenny actually got me to put seaweed into my mouth which in itself is pretty amazing! We also had anchovies which weren't bad. They kinda creeped me out cause they had their like heads and stuff:S but they tasted alright. I also had this fruit that you freeze and then melt and then eat like ice cream. It was really sweet! I couldn't eat it all though cause I was already full! haha. 

I am seriously watching "In the land of women" again.... it's not even a good movie... i mean it has that chick from twilight (barfs) in it...

ooo silence of the lambs is on... I never did finish that book... just started another one cause silence wasn't really my style.

I only have to wear it full time for 5 more months and then it's all good! yay!

At least I don't have braces anymore!
god i do not miss those!

I am almost done ss project. All we have to do is finish adri's voice overs and then cut a whole bunch of shit out to make it shorter cause it's going to be too long:P

☂The Bridges of Madison County

I am finally watching this movie!
I read the book like a year ago and I finished it in one night! That's how much I loved it! I totally fell in love with the story and the characters! And Meril Streep is soooo perfect for the lead!
And I LOVE her accent in the movie! It is sooo perfect! I don't know what it is but it's awesome!
It could be Romanian:S

☂A Great Read!

Yet another one of course! I have been reading it for a while, but I haven't mentioned it yet because, well I forgot! It's called The Historian! It is about this guy that is looking for Drackula. It sounds lame, but it is really good. It is the book that I was talking about ealier, the one that made me cry. It is scary at parts, depressing at parts and suspensful all the way through! It is awsome! I think everyone should read it (although only like 2 people will actually read this post so i'm pretty sure that my order matters, or has any affect!) Anyways... I am in love with the book. Which is what I say about all the good books that I read, but w.e.! I love to read, more than I love my own life sometimes, which is kind of sad, but undrestandable if you know about my dad. He's not an abuser, don't think that. It's not really him I have a problem with, it's his wife. And what she's has made him. I didn't know my dad before she was in his life, but I imagine that he was way different. He would have to be if my mom would even consider him! She has high standards! Which is awsome! Cause I love our life the way it is. Me, my mom, and her best friend that lives with us! All girls in this house. It is totally different than when you live with men in the house. And people would never understand the tings that we do because they don't live like we do. You don't have to worry about little things like clothes! As in I walk around our house in my inderwear all the time! And everyone walks in on everyone. But we are all so close. There is no secrets. I tend to get distracted from what I was originally talking about, but it's iight! ya... lates!

☂An Ok and a Great Read!

I just finished The Old Man and the Sea last saturday, and it was ok. I had to read it 4 school so it's not like I had a choise but I would recomend it to people who like books with tons of symbolism. I didn't get it at first but then I went on the internet! What a wonderful thing the internet! And apparently it sybolises Jesus get crusified in many many parts of the book. All in all it wasn't bad! Now i am reading To Kill a Mockingbird, also for school. It is really good! I love it and i think that anyone who loves to read would!

To Kill a Mocking Bird is a really good book! I am reading now(at the same time as old man and sea!) Plus I just got Interview with a vampire and I really want to read it but I have to finish all of the books I have to read for school first :( Also, my mother finally caved and let me get msn! ☂A Great Read!

Right now I am reading Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy and I am almost finished it. It is really good, I think I like it better than Jane Austen! I think it is so much more real than Jane Austen, in which there is always a happy ending and nothing completely horrible happens. In this book the main character is not only poor but goes through many different things that would never dare be mentioned in Jane Austen. All in all I think everyone should read it, providing that you have some sort of appreciation for English lit. written in the 18th century.

☂A Great Read!

Not to sound completely juvinial but OMG! I have re-fallen in love with the sisterhood of the travelling pants! I finished the 4th last night! I went to bed at 8:00 just to read and stayed up until 12:00! Then I woke up at 6:00am and read again until 9:30am! I finished it and now I am re-reading the second and the third because I don't really remember what happened in them. I want to be fully prepared for the movie in August! Bridget, Tibby, Lena, and Carmen are so real and you kind of get to know them. You learn from them and you see how they all relate to you in the little ways. I think I am most like Lena. Although I do have my Bridget moments, I love art and what it does to me. I love the feeling of being able to represent myself not only vocally but visually too. But then again I do have my Tibby moments too. When I am so completely cinical and sarcastic that I don't see the truth. Well anyways these books bring out the best in me and the worst sometimes! but I think that everyone can relate to them in some way and that is why they are such great books!

☂A Great Read!

Although I have slowed down dramatically in the reading of beneficial literature department, I am now reading two things at once. #1 I am reading an amazing novel (very slowly, and when I have time, which is almost never!) called Cabinet of Curiosities. It is about this underground tunnel that is discovered with a tun of bodies in it. All of the people were murdered about a hundred years beforehand and then after it's discovered the murders start happening again! It is really great so far. #2 I am reading (during science and any other subject I don't feel like listening to) a graphic novel called Tsubasa. It is written by CLAMP (the same people who wrote Card Captors and Chobits. It is really sad but soooooo good! Lots of swears and violence!

☂A Great Read!

I know your thinking I need some friends or a hobby other than reading because I have read so many books since I started this blog but I do have friends and hobbies I just make time for reading (although a lot of it is done in science or french class when I am really bored!).

The next book I am reading is Frankenstein by Mary Shelly (I know I couldn't believe it was by a woman either!). I am half way through (Which is not that great of an accomplishment because it is only 166 pages in like size 10 font (Don't actually know the font size, I am just guessing.)). Anyways, so far it is amazing and very well written. By the way when Frankenstein is awakened no one says "He's alive" in some evil voice, and He is very intelligent and learns to speak by spying on this family whose shack he is living in. The story is really about Dr. Frankenstein, the creator, though. All in all I think that this book is a must read for all people!

☂A Great Read!

Well if you remember I was reading this book called Who Has Seen The Wind. I finished it and I loved it! It didn't really have any real drama or a real plot or purpose (that makes it sound bad!) But it was really interesting seeing the world through a little boy's eyes. He is not a little boy throughout the entire book but for a large part of it he is. My favorite part was the description of the wind at the end of the book. The quote does not reveal the ending so I am going to post it. This is really the only part of the book that is written like this. I think it sounds like a poem! But it just makes you want to think. "The day greys, its light withdrawing from the winter sky till just the prairie's edge is luminous. At one side of the night a farm dog barks; another answers him. A coyote lifts his howl, his throat-line long to the dog-nose pointing out the moon. A train whoops to the night, the sound dissolving slowly. High above the prairie, platter-flat, the wind wings on, bereft and wild its lonely song. It ridges drifts and liks their ripples off; it smoothens crests, piles snow against the fences. The tinting green of Northern Lights slowly shades and fades against the prairie nights, dying here, imperceptibly reborn over there.
